What do you make?
Nordic produces unfinished drum shells and custom plywood from raw materials in our Minneapolis workshop.

WHAT KIND OF FINISHES DO YOU OFFER?
Nordic does not offer "finished" drums, only raw shells and plywood for drum manufacturers.

WHY ARE THE SHELLS RAW/UNFINISHED?
The shells are cut to size but are not sanded. Shells are shipped raw to keep our prices competitive and to also allow the drum builder to finish as desired. Shells may contain markings from the mill or slight amounts of glue from manufacturing, both which can be easily removed when sanding for your unique finish.

DO I HAVE TO BE A DRUM MANUFACTURER TO ORDER?
Absolutely not. In fact, we sell to many hobbyists and beginners alike. However, keep in mind that if you have a very small order it may take a little longer to enter the production queue.

DO YOU MAKE RE-RINGS?
Yes, we offer 6 ply and 8ply maple rings which are available here. We can also install them if you’d like!

DO YOU MAKE WOOD HOOPS?
Nordic currently makes wood hoops which you can find here. We can also cut a rounded edge on one side if needed.

CAN YOU CUT THE BEARING EDGES?
Nordic can cut bearing edges and there are a few options. You can add those to any shell, just select your edge option below the shell price in the “Optional Additional Services” area.

CAN YOU DRILL THE HOLES FOR ME?
Nordic does not currently drill holes in the shells, but will soon. Please check back often or sign up for our newsletter.
