WHAT DO YOU MAKE?
Nordic produces unfinished drum shells and custom plywood from raw materials in our Minneapolis workshop.
WHAT KIND OF FINISHES DO YOU OFFER?
Nordic does not currently offer "finished" drums, as we are only creating raw shells and plywood for drum manufacturers.
WHY ARE THE SHELLS RAW/UNFINISHED?
The shells are cut to the size indicated in each description, but are not sanded. Because we are making custom shells on demand, we ship our shells raw to keep our prices competitive. Shells may contain markings from the mill or slight amounts of glue from our manufacturing but is easily removed when sanding for your unique finish.
WHY ARE THERE NO PRICES LISTED?
The price of wood fluctuates constantly, so our prices change often to reflect our costs on those raw materials. Also, we are often creating unique combinations of woods, thicknesses, sizes and quantities which can be tricky to price out. Too many variables!
DO I HAVE TO BE A DRUM MANUFACTURER TO ORDER?
No, but if you have a very small order keep in mind that it may take a little longer to enter the production queue.
DO YOU MAKE RE-RINGS?
Yes, we offer 6-ply and 8-ply maple rings, but do not install them. Contact us for pricing.
DO YOU MAKE WOOD HOOPS?
Yes, Nordic currently offers 12-ply True Series Maple Hoops.
CAN YOU CUT THE BEARING EDGES?
Nordic does not currently cut bearing edges, but will soon. Please check back often or sign up for our newsletter.
CAN YOU DRILL THE HOLES FOR ME?

HOW MUCH IS AN INLAY?

WILL YOU SHIP OVERSEAS?
Yes! We'll work with you to figure out the best and cheapest way to get you the shells you need.
